Each appro pass has one marked location where the participant must visit in order for the pass to be approved. The required location varies between passes. This is intended to prevent congestion in restaurants.
A participant can receive only one stamp from the same location, but it is possible to taste multiple items from the menu.
The time limit for completing the appro round is four hours, starting from the start time marked on the appro pass. The appro pass must be returned to the finish area within the time limit. The finish area closes at 8 PM.
The law and general rules of order must be followed during the event. We do not accept any form of harassment at our event, so please contact the staff at the finish area if you experience or witness harassment during the event day. We reserve the right to modify the event instructions.
A first-time participant must collect at least six approved stamps in their appro pass in order to redeem an overall patch. In addition to the patch obtained with these six stamps, a first-year participant can receive an additional “plate” patch with three extra stamps. In the first year, you receive one patch with six (6) stamps and two patches with nine (9) stamps.
A second-time participant must collect at least nine approved stamps in their appro pass. In addition, the previous year’s overall patch must be sewn onto the overalls in order for the participant to redeem a new overall patch. An additional patch can be obtained with three extra stamps. In the second year, you receive one patch with nine (9) stamps and two patches with twelve (12) stamps.
A third-time participant must collect nine approved stamps in their appro pass. In addition, the overall patches from the previous two years must be sewn onto the overalls in order for the participant to redeem a new overall patch. An additional patch can be obtained with three extra stamps. In the third year, you receive one patch with nine (9) stamps and two patches with twelve (12) stamps.
The overall patches must be collected in the order shown in the accompanying images. The patches from previous years must be sewn onto the overalls in order to redeem the second- and third-year patches. Please ask the staff in the finish area for help if you have additional questions about collecting patches or completing the event.
The performance locations for the appro round are located in the city center of Tampere, within walking distance, spanning from Tammela to Ratina areas, all the way to the western end of Hämeenkatu. The entire appro area is visible in the Restaurants section.
You can pick up the appro-pass from the starting area at the time indicated on your ticket. The appro-pass, filled with stamps, must be returned within four (4) hours from the departure time to the finishing area. The starting area opens at 1:30 PM and last appro passes must be returned by 8:00 PM to the same area. The starting and finishing point for the event is located in Ratina Shopping Center (3rd floor, next to clothing store Zara).
SushiAppro has been designed to be suitable for vegans, and we have aimed to accommodate common dietary preferences as well as fish allergies. In addition to traditional sushi, there are also other Asian delicacies available, such as mochi, gyoza, and bubble tea! For a detailed menu, please refer to the Restaurants section. You need to have a digital ticket purchased from Kide.app which you can use to obtain the official appro-pass at the starting area. In addition, we recommend bringing your own water bottle for the appro round. The dress code is your own student organization overalls.
During the round we recommend following our Instagram @sushiappro. There we will update about things like crowd situations and answer possible questions.
The ticket prices for SushiAppro are 9 €. The appro dishes at the restaurants cost between 1–5 €. We will publish restaurant menus later during the spring at our Restaurants section. The appro-pass does not include a public transportation ticket, as the event is designed to be completed on foot.
